Throughout this week, I have been studying and preparing assignments to turn in every day. I have a set routine on my days off that consists of waking up early and heading out to. coffee shop near Marylebone. On one of these days I had been extremely stressed out and needed to take a breather, so I decided to pack up my things and go on a walk.
I started in Regent park and ended up in Covent Garden. I walked along Regents Canal for most of it and was amazed by the beauty. It was a beautiful sunny day and the water was covered in moss. It may seem gross when writing about it, but while walking by it was undisturbed. The moss growing on the water told me that it had been unused. The water was alone in the canal and who knows how long for. The trees surrounding it were dropping leaves and it felt like fall. When reaching Covent Garden I was amazed by the beauty and greenery. Green is my favorite aesthetic so you can probably guess how entranced I was by everything. This walk was peaceful and cleared my mind. I no longer felt stressed or overwhelmed because in those moments I was thankful to be alive and seeing the beauty with my eyes.
