Tutorial Reflection

Today I had my tutorial for my short story. Overall I am happy with the feedback I received and think that what I need to improve on is achievable. The things that I think I did well for my first draft was my syntax and the way I was able to portray a nervous and anxious girl. I also like how I was able to use a certain kind of rhythm in the writing.

For the parts that I need to improve on that will be the development. I think I need to develop the plot a little bit quicker and get to the conflict sooner. I also need to elaborate and add structure to certain parts that are uneventful. I will also add more direction and story arc at the beginning instead of waiting until the very end. I will develop the little details more to make them more important to the plot and add more of London into the description of the places she goes and sees.

My action plan is to use my professor’s notes to edit and develop the story in a more professional matter. I will get rid of the uneventful parts and use small details to my advantage to thicken the plot line. My short story will have an accurate display of London and also incorporate less uneventful details and more important plot lines.
