Over the weekend I took a trip to Austria with some friends and had the best time! In the beginning it was kind of stressful because right when we got there they had announced that Austria was going into lockdown on Monday which is the day we left. We did not know what to do and were trying to figure out if we could still stay in our hostel on Sunday night, but everything ended up working out fine and we still had a great time. We flew into Vienna and started exploring the city. It was very very cold and there was an antivaxer protest that we somehow ended up in the middle of. Once we got out of it, we took a tram to a beautiful palace that how amazing gardens. The city of Vienna was beautiful and alive with people getting in as much as possible before lockdown.
On Saturday night we trained to Salzburg and went to a Christmas market. One of my friends loves the Sound of Music so we did a lot of sightseeing which was amazing. We went all around the city seeing so many beautiful places and things. My favorite thing we did was go to the famous hill in the movie and hiked up it. I think that it was the most beautiful view I have ever seen. I felt so much happiness in those moments. I am also so glad that I got to experience this with my best friends here!
