Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to go up to the Lake District in Northern England with a group of friends I have. We left Wednesday evening and took a train to Windermere. It was amazing. It was very cold from the moment we stepped off the train, but well worth it. We ran to the store to get the essentials and then went back to our cozy home for the next four days. That night we played card games and had a couple glasses of wine, which was very relaxing.
The next morning was Thanksgiving for the Americans. We got up and went on a walk around the lake. It was filled with boats and tourists. The sun was shining and everyone was happy. We then started to cook our Thanksgiving meal. There were three Americans and then one spaniard and two germans. They wanted to experience Thanksgiving so that is what we did. We cooked all of the regular dishes and had an amazing time. We stayed up lated playing board games and charades to end the night.
The next couple of days we went on hikes on and around the lake. The nature around us was so beautiful and I am so thankful that I got to experience the beauty with everyone else. Today it snowed. It was amazing. It was the first fall of snow, which meant the start of winter. We had a very aggressive snowball fight and built a wacky snowman. Overall the trip was amazing and I had such a great and relaxing weekend with the people I was with.
