‘The London Breed’
This poem holds so much meaning in the short amount of time it has. While reading it, I noticed that all of the verses identify England as diverse. There is so much to take in while reading and you can easily notice the irony that the author has for London and all of the things that are mentioned. There is an emphasis on the fact that London as a city never slows down and probably will never because it is an enigma created by many people. There are so many cultures that fill the streets and so many different kinds of people that can be noticed around. London will never get boring, but it will become too chaotic for many people.
‘Inglan is a Bitch’
These lyrics describe the toughness it takes to live in London. Living in London is dreamed about by so many people, but it is not something that will solve all of your problems. The artist here emphasizes the jobs he has to work while living in London and how hard it is to get by. I can relate to this to some degree because of how expensive it is to live here. The words “Inglan is a bitch” is repeated numerous time throughout the text and the repetition shows how much dislike he has to the city he lived in. There are hardships with everywhere you move to and one place should not be seen to fix everything that is wrong in life.
