‘Galahad Confront the Colour Problem’

Throughout this excerpt of The Lonely Londoners, the character development is vivid. Galahad is a man that has been affected by London whether he knows it or not. He was willing to spend however much money on Daisy on their date even if it might have been a little too expensive for him. Galahad is a man that puts all his focus on the good things. He did not let the other people who judged him get in the way of his day or night. In this excerpt, it is shown that he is fascinated with the city of London as well as the people populating it. When he talks about the circus, he mentions that it is a representation of life. This gives insight into his thoughts about how life is represented by London and the chaos (good or bad) that takes place in it.

All Woman’

This excerpt is about the loyalty a mother and daughter have with each other. The mother is protecting her daughter even though she is a grown up. The protective side emerges more when men are around. The mother has probably gone through a bad experience with them and lacks trust. The mom thinks about Sianna with every decision she makes and sacrifices a lot for her. She wants to give her daughter a good life while also being her best friend and spending as much time with her as possible. This excerpt shows love and development of the mother daughter relationship portrayed.
